Description
A fun suncatcher depicting the Coast mountains inspired by the views along the Sea to Sky highway ( highway 99) between Vancouver and Whistler, in British Columbia, Canada. It is a gorgeous drive along the side of Howe Sound, an ocean fjord, and then up into the snowy mountains to the Whistler ski village.
Along the way you’ll pass through the town of Squamish, stop for a photo or take a side hike. Bears are quite common in this area. In fact, one crossed the road right in front of us just after a group of cyclists biked past it, unaware he was even there.
The suncatcher is a nice way to encapsulate the moment and the glass choices reflect the serenity and beauty of the area. I used the Tiffany foil method and polished it with a black patina finish. It is outlined with lead came and hangs from a decorative chain.
